Schools Tour Ahead!
Posted: 29 Jun, 2015
It’s nearly the end of the summer term and time once again for school halls to ring to the sound of the latest generation of Conwy children singing “Ye Cannae kick your Granny off a Bus!”
For 17 years, Conwy Music Service staff have entertained and educated (but mostly entertained!) Conwy pupils with this annual feast of concerts touring the county’s schools; teaching generations of children “Granny”, entertaining countless staff members, parents, grandparents and others along the way too. The music changes with the passing years, but some things will always be the same – who can imagine a show without “the Simpsons” for example?
This annual institution is supported by the Conwy Education Department and gives the teachers the chance to show their pupils that they have very extensive hidden talents – step aside “X Factor”, here comes the Conwy Staff Ensemble! -
Performance in the Castle Hotel!
Posted: 12 Jun, 2015
Guitar pupils had the chance to perform in the Castle Hotel in Conwy recently. The short concert was held in the library, giving the performers an ideal atmosphere for the intimate nature of acoustic guitars and a friendly space for parents and others to listen and relax in. We enjoyed a wide range of music from Baroque to the Blues and look forward to more of these events in the future, well done all!
